Artistic intentionVisual artist inspired by nature
Julie Laforêt is a visual artist inspired by the nature. She is living in the french forest of the Morvan. Be connected with nature and its cycles are the base of her artistic process. Artworks and installations are inspired by the ecological art with the will to use natural materials harvest where she lives.
Time outside, in the forest are like moments out of time where the artist leaves the human world to connect other worlds. She is living the present moment and every material can become a wonderful meet and can inspire her. So the barrier with worlds is becoming so dead smooth and subtle. Thus she is out of human condition to become forest, to be inside the earth and receive life so fully.
Each materials is being transformed to become art with differents technics. Vegetals are used in dyeing and printemps and can be incorporated in sculptures. Barks can make paper or be an essential element of sculptures. Mineral are using to make natural paint or as base of sculptures.
